چکیده
Abstract In this paper, an efficient approach to data validation of distributed geographical interlocking systems (IXLs) is presented. the IXL paradigm, track elements are controlled by local computers communicating with other control components over and wide area networks. Practical formal validation method for interlocking systems
Today, the main issue is to answer the following question: have we finally recognized that when it comes to software, the delivery of absolute numerical safety targets is considered to be impossible, and the methods contained in the CENELEC standard produce a “probability” that certain unsafe failure rates will be archived, rather than an absolute assurance? We know that checks that are underta...
متن کاملGeographical Versus Functional Modelling by Statecharts of Interlocking Systems
The development of computer controlled Railway Interlocking Systems (RIS) has seen an increasing interest in the use of Formal Methods, due to their ability to precisely specify the logical rules that guarantee the safe establishment of routes for trains through a railway yard. Recently, a trend has emerged about the use of statecharts as a standard formalism to produce precise specifications o...
متن کاملColoured petri nets to model geographical interlocking for railway
Petri nets have been widely applied in different aspects of railway modelling and analysis. This paper presents an insight into how coloured Petri nets can be used to model geographical interlocking. We start with a generalisation of coloured Petri nets and follow with an overview of interlocking. In the main body we present a generic unit model and demonstrate how it can be used to represent a...
متن کاملA Hybrid Architecture for Mobile Geographical Data Acquisition and Validation Systems
Mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, are useful tools for in situ gathering information about spatial locations. Specialists need mobile geographical data acquisition and validation systems to be used in fieldwork and in places where there is limited or any network connectivity available. This paper presents an ongoing work on designing and implementing a hybrid architecture for thi...
